FOLLOWING MEANS LOSING
We follow Jesus by his invitation and, walking
with him, we learn to let go of our baggage.
Following means losing. Losing means finding
where we belong—with Jesus. The burden of
family is restored to joy as our homes become
mission centers, the weight of wealth and possessions
become resources for service, and selfcentered
existence becomes transformed into
a free life shaped by the presence of the living
Jesus in and around us. In the losing we are set free to follow Jesus.
